North Coyote Buttes - The Wave - 2012

This is a repeat Gallery from the 2012 Southwest US Roadtrip, just wanted to also place it in the Arizona Library. Various images of the iconic Wave, The Second Wave, Brain Rocks, and other unusual features in North Coyote Buttes. It has been over 7 years since my last trip into The Wave, but not for the lack of trying, as it's very difficult to get drawn in the lottery that limits the number to 10 a day and it's become very popular. After several attempts when passing through the area, I finally got lucky. To me the day was perfect with partly cloudy to cloudy, allowing for occasional sun patches to poke through and good color saturation without too much contrast. These images were shot with the Nikon D800E.
